Self-Confidence

Today’s
Vibe Commentary-3/02

Greetings all,
This will be a new point of view to most who may read this Blog. This Blog may be completely different in perspective. I’ll not be “railing against the wind” but instead I am offering a common sense understanding of how the Law of Attraction relates to the everyday things we all do. We all have “issues” that come from our Perspective; from where we want to feel “relief”.
If you have read and are following this thread of Vibrational Offerings; you’ll notice that I skip a few days. This is not because I felt they were any less important but because they didn’t offer a point of view that inspired sufficient contrast on which to comment.

Today’s Thought: Self-Confidence
“Did you ever see an unhappy horse? Did you ever see a bird that had the Blues? One reason that birds and horses are not unhappy is because they are not trying to impress other birds and horses.”- Dale Carnegie

Author’s Take: A comment of a disapproving shape or the state of condition of a vehicle or an unnoticed comment or action lend to our feelings of inadequacy. Our daily performances give us a feeling of pride that is short lived if it is not noticed or approved of by others. Until we know what others think, we’re not satisfied with ourselves.

Ending Thought: What others think of me matters, but it shouldn’t matter as much as what I think of myself.

Self confidence comes from a sense of pride and worthiness in knowing one’s self; our actions, knowledge or abilities. We want the recognition of those around us and even more, if we do something we feel is important or clever or better that what someone else has done. If we have a small accident or misspeak, we are embarrassed. What has made the opinions of others of so much value comes from the richest person in the tribe had the most…Horses, cattle, property, wives…! So mankind developed the Habit of Thought (Beliefs) that prosperity and worth came from Quantity of Possession. We still practice this today and it judged by peers and others alike. If no one were looking, would the gathering of “things”, the accumulation of “Stuff” be as important or make us Feel any better?

Animals don’t feel as we do. Yes, I believe they (at least my dogs) have Emotions similar to ours. I see the Love in their eyes, the Joy on their faces as they run through a field or the remorse when they’ve done something they shouldn’t have. They are almost always happy, with or without Toys, a roof, regular food. If their situation changes, they adapt quickly and don’t look back and Pine for the “better times” of the past!! As long as their Human gives them attention, or if on their own, they can be safe; they ARE happy. They don’t see another dog in a Mercedes & wish it was them…

What we feel of ourselves is important. In fact, it’s THE most important feeling we can have. Our self worth and values come from within. “Self-…” is the prefix that tells us that our value or worthiness depends on OUR opinion of ourselves. We crate our own reality and that starts with our Self-Worth. No one else came truly Make us do or feel anything. We may react (out of Habit) to a word; kind or hurtful, but it’s just that, a reaction; which is a choice. The choice to accept the feeling we assign to it also comes from within.

Happy creating. Live a life of Joy!

Keeping it Positive??

Tree of Knowledge

Vibe Commentary-3/01

Greetings all,
This will be a new point of view to most who may read this Blog. This Blog may be completely different in perspective. I’ll not be “railing against the wind” but instead I am offering a (my) common sense understanding of how the Law of Attraction-LoA relates to the everyday things we all do. We all have “issues” that come from our Perspectives; from where we want to feel “relief”.
If you have read and are following this thread of Vibrational Offerings; you’ll notice that I skip days. This is not because I felt they were any less important but because I didn’t find a point of view that inspired sufficient contrast on which to comment.

Today’s Thought: Keeping it Positive
“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.”-Herm Albright

Author’s Take: The feeling here is that people (seemingly ALL people) that have an attitude, either positive or negative, are “Charged” (I read that as- obligated) with the opposite feeling due to a self imposed guilt or at the very least, a desire to annoy another. Worse yet, in my opinion, is that those that are feeling a negative emotion are the (easy) targets of the rest; fair game to ridicule or make “sport” of.

Ending Thought: This seems to begin well enough but quickly turns. The thought here appears to be that upon encountering anyone; more so those with a less than assured or confident outlook, should be looked at as subjects whose negative reactions are to be observed & when presented, countered (we call it-Advise) with either an Optimistic or Encouraging position or inclination. Annoying them for the sake of annoying them, when we have all felt the same way at one time or another…

As I’ve mentioned before; I have been a student of PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) since my early teens. I’ve read as many books as I could find or those my father “forced” me to read. The first was “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. I later became involved with their Training course, selling to business and conducting the initial classes & seminars . Through this experience, I was able to ‘Observe” how the very behavior the author of the book, I reference and am commenting on; (“The Daily Book of Positive Quotations”, by Linda Picone.* and using as a springboard for my commentary), uses to define how being Mean or Sarcastic, is how to respond to those with negative feelings; as long as it’s in the name of Positive Thinking, seems to appear as an acceptable course of action, if for no other reason than for the sake of one’s own entertainment.
This to me, is Not Positive Thinking, even in its most rudimentary definition. Originally, PMA has been around a while. It was believed that maintaining a Positive thought of what was wanted would bring about the Desired outcome. Seems logical, think Positive, get Positive results. The Law of Attraction’s constant response to the vibrations offered; “That which is like unto itself, is drawn”, positive thinking should yield positive attraction. However, most people do not maintain their focus on the Desire but instead, hold the thought of the Absence or Lack of what is wanted. LoA will Attract more of That!! Therefore, if you are “antagonizing” another to evoke an emotion or reaction to observe, you are also Attracting the essence of that which you are offering. In other words, you’ll be offering that same response in yourself.

Finding a Negative (attitude in a) person and prodding at it with your Positive attitude, will not help or improve their outlook or perspective. More often than not, you will create a more negative feeling in them and in You. This is due to the “Alignment of the vibrational Energy” the two people have in regards to the Subject matter at hand. LoA responds to the most dominant vibration and attracts more of the same to it. If you’re wanting to UpLift someone who’s exhibiting signs of Negativity (Doubt, Anger, Sadness…), pointing out the negative will only increase the feelings and compound them by your perspective of the other’s attitude.

Keep in mind, I honestly believe; much to the chagrin of those who know or talk with me, that if people get their Feelings Hurt or become angry, frustrated or any other emotional response; it is entirely of Their own doing. We, as much as we’d like to believe we can, are not able to control the feelings of others. It is their Choice. Society, outdated values of Morality and the habits of consequences dictates our behavior towards others, for centuries now. Outdated social needs of the Tribe or Clan, Religious leaders or doctrine and the lack of knowledge about the makings of the Universe, brought about Beliefs. A belief is just a Habit of Thought that is constantly Reinforced. The general population of the world has used these practices and beliefs as an excuse or reason (same thing, no?) to start wars, exact revenge or any number of Consequential standards to justify their actions against others. Where was the Positive Thinking there?

Positive Thinking, from the LoA and My perspective is more about holding Positive aspects of that and those around us. Maintaining an attitude of Appreciation and satisfaction will attract more of the same. This seems like a more pleasant way to pass the time we have here. -JMO

Perspective

Vibe Commentary-1/29

Greetings all,
This will be a new point of view to most who may read this Blog. This Blog will be completely different in perspective. I’ll not be railing against the wind but instead I am offering a common sense understanding of how the Law of Attraction relates to the everyday things we all do. We all have “issues” that come from our Perspectives; from where we want to feel “relief”.

Today’s Thought : Courage
“Courage is doing what you’re afraid to do.There can be no Courage unless you’re scared.”- Eddie Rickenbacker
Author’s Take-This seems to come from a standpoint of Fear being, if not the motivation to persevere, the guage we use to judge the level of safety in approaching a task. Acknowledging Fear, even though being embarrassed to admit it.
Ending Thought: “It’s ok for me to be afraid. I can admit this to myself and others and still the things that frighten me.”

We use (especially Male…) pride to motivate ourselves into doing things outside our Comfort Zone despite the reluctance to do so. Everything from killing a spider in the Shower to jumping out of a perfectly sound airplane to skydive for the first time, requires a level of courage, the will to Overcome fear and deep inside, the knowledge (and anticipation) of success. The anticipation of doing something we’ve admitted (if only to ourselves) “makes” us afraid… (to do, act, say) but do Jump right in without the thought of Failing, is what most See as Courage..

On an emotional level, Fear and Excitement are the same emotion, to our brain and body. The only difference is one of Perspective; how the person thinks the experience will impact their life.
The “Fear” of the first, long upward climb of a RollerCoaster brings fear into play as the train slowly clanks and creeks higher and higher; the crest of the first Drop looming ahead with nothing but empty sky beyond. We look down, just before reaching the summit and experience the Fear of Heights exhilaration, the rush of Adrenaline raising our heart beat and we hold our breath, lest we fall. The first cars are dropping over the ridge and our fear turns to Excited Anticipation, mixed with the lingering fear of the height; we plunge over the top and race down the slope at Break-neck speed, Free, Happily Screaming, thrilled with the physical sensation of Flight and Freedom. A letting go of everything as the body and Spirit prepare to transition to Non-Physical…Our vibrational alignment between our physical being and our Inner Being, is in tune. During this experience the emotion felt was the same kind of energy as was felt by the Fear. If charted on a Brain Frequency monitoring device; like an EKG, the results would show the same electrical impulses, within reason; given that the stimuli was comparable.

At first I didn’t feel that the author’s view offered any resistance or much contrast. I was not going to comment other than to agree, for the most part with her interpretation. On re-reading the context I thought better as the vibration I felt reading those words brought an emotion, a feeling of un-ease. I don’t disagree entirely with the Author’s perspective. However, in the perspective of LoA; acknowledging the unwanted only strengthens the (unwanted) vibration which causes more of the same vibration to be attracted to it, adding to the Momentum of Creation of the unwanted.
When we acknowledge fear, we focus our attention on the emotion of Anxiety/Fear/Excitement AND that which we observed that gave rise to the Feeling. The physical sensation is the same, only the person’s perspective manifests it into whichever label fits the situation. In the simplest sense, overcoming Fear is not to face it head-on but to recognize the source of the emotion, understand that the emotion is your Indicator of your reality at the moment and Choose to Feel differently. Like the Roller Coaster ride described earlier, the range of emotions covers the spectrum during the first 3 minutes of the ride. The Physical experience changes only when the person Chooses to experience the Joy of the moment or to cower in terror.

So now we have more tools of Choice, to feel the best, the happiest or most joyful at every moment. Living in the Now. When we know what a thing IS and we learn how to use it to our benefit, we can Choose how to use it to provide the easiest path to our desires. In other words; choose the feeling that feels the best. You can change your feelings, emotions and responses by simply making the Choice to do so. Happy Creating!

Understanding the Law of Attraction

Today’s
Commentary-1/27

Greetings all,
This will be a new outlook to most who may read this Blog. Others may have a basic understanding of Gnostic knowledge. Some will reject my ideas, some will accept the concepts within. This Blog is meant to offer a completely different perspective. I’ll not be “railing against the wind” but instead I am offering a Common Sense approach to understanding how, I see that the Law of Attraction relates to the everyday things we all do. We all have “issues” that come from our Perspectives; a place from where we want to feel “relief” if not Satisfaction.

This daily (as much as I am able) rant will be a Quote of the Day, taken out of a gift from my oldest daughter. It’s called, “The Daily Book of Positive Quotations”, by Linda Picone.* It had been a very Up-lifting read and a daily reflection with a point of view I usually didn’t awaken with. (I highly recommend having some kind of Daily read; to get your mind/brain started).
For the first couple of years, I was inspired by most of what I read. As I grew more aware of the nature and my understanding of the Law of Attraction and how it affects us/me at every moment, there were fewer & fewer passages that resonated with me. As of this writing, I have stopped reading the book altogether, except for a few Quotes I kept separate for my own collection.

I will include the Quote of the Day with it’s author and the “Affirmation” noted afterwards. I will apply my understanding of the Law of Attraction (LoA) to the overriding thought of the author and Quote and offer my Opinion for that Vibe. I welcome any comment or perspective in response. I think this will help give some, more clarity to the most common questions we ask ourselves everyday.

Today’s Thought: THANKFULNESS
“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we did not learn a lot today, at least we learned a little. And if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die, so let us all be thankful” – Buddha

Author’s Take: Most people are the most thankful when they have the most problems and that Facing a Crisis makes us more appreciative.

Ending Thought: “I will start and end today thinking about how fortunate I am, right here, right now.”

The belief that Gratitude & Appreciation brings not only Happiness but material “blessings or offerings” is a wonderful idea, as long as it’s the result of a Struggle or Crisis/problem that was Solved. Otherwise, it was just luck or Fate.

Law of Attraction draws the vibration of Thankfulness to the vibration of the thought of Appreciation or whichever is Dominant. If it comes from a vibration of Lack and/or Problems with no expectation of solution, more of that will “manifest” in your experience. Appreciation, however, comes from a position expecting the having…

When we Face Our Problems, we perpetuate the very things we are wanting to Overcome or avoid. As all things in the Universe vibrate from the Energy from which they are created. EVERYTHING vibrates, at different frequencies and rates. LoA states, “That which is alike unto itself, is drawn”

When we say Thanks or are thankful, we do so from a position of Not Having; whatever it is we’re Thankful for, and not from a position of Appreciation. The definition of Appreciation is “the Act of estimating the qualities of things and giving them an appropriate value (to us). Thankfulness is expressing Gratitude or Appreciation”- but the Synonym aligns it to Beholden and Obliged or Obligated. That means that you came by something you needed because you didn’t have enough. A position of Lack! When you think or desire or ask from a Lack mindset, you activate the vibrational ripple that attracts more of the same vibration that continues to gain strength and Momentum; like a snowball rolling down a hill. We acknowledge gifts and acts of kindness, only because it is society’s norm of civil behavior. It’s not a requirement of the Universe.
How do we appreciate and maintain vibrational harmony? To appreciate your receiving of…by recognizing it’s value to you and any cost incurred by a giver. Be happy to receive or Allow from the heart (love).
Appreciation is the vibrational equivalent to Love and the Absence of everything Bad and the Presence of everything Good.

I fully agree with the day’s affirmation. We should all think of the good things in our lives by appreciating How it makes us Feel!! The feeling you have from the knowing (thoughts) of what you have is what causes you to be happy from the Appreciation. The feeling of being Thankful, however, comes from feeling a debt or obligation to someone for Doing something FOR you. We feel a need to repay kindnesses or gifts. This comes from learning shame instead of appreciation and Allowing or Accepting. Instead we are taught to be thankful; bringing the energy of Shame into the process of receiving. As always, when we focus on a Vibration/Thought/Energy or Feeling, Law of Attraction & the Universe/Source provides more of the same.

In the Ending Thought, the important part of the phrase is; “…right here, right now.”. This is the most important part to understand because most people do not live in the Now but in their past or imagined futures. Neither of which where we have any power or control.

Most people think of the Past in terms of the things that attracted the most attention. Memories are made of Things, Events, Places and People that affected our Experience at That time. At some later point in time, we showed some appreciation for whatever IT was. We recall the feeling then & come to believe it was the (thing) that “caused” the joy felt then. We “learned to live Conditionally; “…if I have That, I’ll be Happy”. Not realizing that the perceived happiness felt, Imagining having it was the “cause” of it appearing in our experience.

My desire for us all is to; Embrace your Joy, everyday. Focus on the Elements & Thoughts of the things that allow you to Feel Good. Have fun, even in the things we usually think bring us no joy.

There is much more in this simple idea. If you want to know more, learn a way to a new perspective and how to be Happier more; follow this Blog, comment and Ask Questions.

Happy creating. Live a life of Joy!
(This has been my interpretation of the LoA and my opinion of it’s application)
