Impressive judgements

What’s the first impression you want to give people?

Having been a Direct Sales professional for a long time, I’ve had many directives concerning influencing others toward agreement. Regarding today’s prompt, the most lasting was: “You never get a second chance to make a First Impression”. That is true enough, however; Keep in mind that influence is always directed toward Others & those impressions are based on the judgements steeped in past Beliefs, both religious and societal.

We all do it regardless of any denials of judgment. It can’t be helped. We all want to be looked at with kindness & warmth but then we judge those judging Us. We also are forming judgements & making 1st Impression assessments, then we judge ourselves in comparison to that impression. We judge because we want others to be different than they Are, to be more like Us…

So, the real question should be not what impression we want to Project but what Impressions do we Perceive of others. It has long been ondrstood that most of the faults we see in others are the those we have ourselves & we project them toward Others in order to Feel better about ourselves…This comes from the judgements we were taught to Believe.!! The beliefs we hold, whether they serve us or not; color our Impressions of the physical world we observe including ourselves. The Law of Attraction keeps the momentum of the thoughts that come from our beliefs. Remember that a Belief is a Habit of Thought that is constantly Reinforced; a thought you Keep thinking. If you change what you believe, what you experience will also change, including your impressions; of yourself & that of others.
